

Bòrd na Gàidhlig was established as a public body by the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 and was initiated on 13th February 2006.
The legislation is designed to promote the use of Scottish Gaelic, secure the status of the language and ensure its long-term future.
Bòrd na Gàidhlig (Alba) is a Non-Departmental Public Body appointed by, and accountable to, Scottish Ministers, and is responsible for the overall direction and management of the National Plan for Gaelic.
From it’s inception in 2006 we were tasked with developing a new brand for the organisation, building on this the web site was developed on the Sitekit CMS platform, this is a class leading system with many high end functions that allows large organisations to manage and administrate their sites with ease.
Pelican have also delivered marketing materials in Gaelic and English and have designed the Annual Report and Accounts on a number of occasions.
